Hi friends,
The other morning I was on my sunrise walk, bundled up against the chill, when I realized how different these walks feel from even a year ago. Back then, I walked with urgency — like every step was another box to check. Now I walk to arrive. To breathe. To start my day from my body, not just my brain.
This season, I’ve been living in the space between slowing down and moving forward. For so much of my life, progress meant pushing harder. But over the past year, I’ve learned that real progress often comes through regulation — through building softer systems that don’t burn me out. That’s why I started 75 Regulate.
Inside the challenge, I set one clear daily goal — something simple and doable like a sunrise walk, journaling before I touch my phone, or choosing water before coffee. Alongside that, I share tips and practices for nervous system regulation: how to get out of fight-or-flight, how to reset when you feel stuck, how to bring your energy back when it’s scattered.
It’s not about performance or proving anything. It’s about building rhythms that calm your body and steady your mind.
That’s exactly what our Facebook community has become: a place where I share the daily goal, drop regulation tools, and create space for others to practice alongside me. It’s not another noisy group — it’s a quiet anchor point, a place to remember you don’t have to push to be enough.
That’s really what 75 Regulate has become for me — not a challenge, but a way of remembering. A daily reset. Some mornings it’s grounding, some mornings it’s messy, but it’s teaching me the most important thing:
I don’t have to perform my life. I can live it.
If you’ve been craving a softer rhythm — especially heading into the holidays — I’d love for you to join our Facebook community. It’s where I share the daily wins, and where others are posting their own versions of regulating and finding steadiness. It feels like a place to exhale.
Mortgages: Where We Really Are
I want to talk to you like a friend, not a headline. Because if you’ve been reading the news, you might think the housing market has frozen solid. But here’s what I’m actually seeing in real conversations, real families, and real numbers:
Refinances: Homeowners who bought since 2022 at peak rates are shaving down payments by $200–$400/month right now. It’s not flashy news, but for a family budget, it’s life-changing.
Veterans: The VA IRRRL program is still the most underutilized gift. It’s quick, streamlined, and often overlooked. If that’s you, this is the moment to look again.
Holiday buyers: Every year, I watch November and December bring hidden advantages. With fewer buyers out shopping, sellers listen more. Credits, concessions, buy-downs — all suddenly on the table. If you’ve been waiting, you might be surprised what’s possible when competition thins.
I share these kinds of real-time insights on my mortgage Facebook daily if you’d like a steady, no-drama feed of clarity. And if you’re ready to see your own numbers, you can always apply here — no commitment, just math and truth.
Economy & Current Events
We’re in one of those strange seasons where everyone is feeling the weight of uncertainty. The Fed is cautious, inflation has cooled, but prices at the grocery store still feel high. Politically, the noise is relentless. Culturally, we’re carrying grief, frustration, and fatigue.
But here’s the through-line I keep coming back to: the economy is not just data. It’s people. It’s families choosing whether to wait or move, small businesses making payroll, and homeowners wondering if refinancing could free up breathing room for the holidays.
Housing is still strong because people need homes. Supply is tight, demand is steady, and that’s why prices haven’t collapsed. Rates aren’t forever. They’ll shift. But your clarity will always come from running your numbers, not from waiting for Washington or Wall Street to solve your life.
And because I know some of you are leaders yourselves — business owners, community leaders, change-makers — I also want to extend an invitation:
I’ve started opening space for consults and speaking. Sometimes that looks like a mortgage strategy session. Sometimes it’s me teaching about nervous system regulation for teams. Sometimes it’s me sharing my story — about loss, resilience, and building again — in a way that helps others move forward. If you feel like that could serve your people, let’s talk.

The Holidays (and How Not to Lose Yourself in Them)
The truth is, the holidays can be beautiful and brutal all at once. We’re told it’s a season of joy, but for many of us, it’s also a season of pressure — financial, emotional, relational.
Here’s what I’ve learned: momentum doesn’t start in January. It starts now.
The choices you make in November and December carry into your new year. If you refinance, budget, or prepare now, you enter January with a running start. If you take your walk, drink your water, or say “no” to the extra obligation now, you start January with energy instead of depletion.
And in my own life, this season will always carry Dylan’s name. The Dylan Foundation is how we keep his light moving forward. We’ve launched his merch, too, which you can shop here — not just clothing, but reminders of his spirit. If you feel led to support, know that it’s not about charity — it’s about carrying love forward.
What’s Coming Next
So many of you have asked about my book. It’s coming. It’s the most vulnerable and important thing I’ve written — about nervous system healing, resilience, and how to live through loss without losing yourself. It’s not a “trauma book,” it’s a healing book. And I can’t wait to put it in your hands.
If you want to be part of that journey, I’ll be sharing more updates on my main page. That’s also where I post the bigger picture of my life — reflections on healing, faith, relationships, and the messy, beautiful middle of it all.
Your Turn
I always want these letters to leave you with something you can carry. This month, here’s my question for you:
What’s one ritual you could keep through the holidays that will leave you steady, instead of stretched thin?
Maybe it’s a morning walk. Maybe it’s saying no. Maybe it’s writing down three things you’re grateful for. Whatever it is, claim it. Because your nervous system doesn’t take holidays off.
And if you need a place to share it and be supported, come post it in our community. You’re not alone in this.
With gratitude and presence,
Michelle Vaughn
